Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band (NO)
RMJHB and Barents Spektakel in perfect unity on the occasion of the band’s 20th anniversary!
“The craziest memory we have from Kirkenes was when we were fortunate to visit Barents Spektakel’s Border-Crossing Exercises in 2008. We were to play at Club Oasis in Nikel with horns and everything – and got the feel of what the people in Kirkenes experience every now and then, namely the border with Russia.” – Tarjei Strøm.
After some years of side projects and collaborations with names such as Snoop Dogg, Diana Ross, Datarock, Ylvis, Maria Mena, Turbonegro and Kaizers Orchestra – the monster that is Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band is back and 2017 is set to be the craziest year in the band’s history!
RMJHB’s comeback tour will coincide with their return to the Barents Spektakel and we felt a small gift for this momentous occasion would be fitting – that is of course, the very same brass musicians that accompanied them on their wild 2008 visit.
Prepare for RMJHB and the Herren Horns – ferocious live beats and arena rock aesthetics mixed with the most danceable music in the world.
RMJHB: Erlend Sellevold – keys; Tarjei Strøm – drums; Benjamin Helland – percussion; Marius Larsen – guitar; Thomas Larssen – bass.
The Herren Horns: Marius Haltli – trumpet, Anders Eriksson – trumpet, Fred Glesnes – tenor sax, Kent Robin Nilsen – trombone.
Billy’s Band (RU)
Romantic alco-jazz of cynical but humble harbour daydreamers and noisy intellectuals of Billy´s Band create paradoxical atmospheres – sadness through laughter, celebration without reason, loneliness among friends, a funeral with a happy end.
